The Museum Ludwig is a lively place, where educational programs offer knowledge and creativity to the most diverse target audiences.
As a project partner for special projects in the area of art education for children, adolescents, and adults you have various opportunities for engagement.
In the area of research as well, such as in the conservation of artworks, there are additional projects that can only be realized with the help of partnerships.
Late Night Thursday, on every first Thursday of the month, is one of the favorite event days at the Museum Ludwig. With visitor-friendly extended hours until 10 p.m. and a diverse range of program offerings, such as concerts, plays, or tours through the inimitable collection of the museum, this event playfully combines different disciplines of art, dispels inhibitions, and awakens visitors’ curiosity to learn more.
We would like to thank the Sparda-Bank West’s Foundation for Art, Culture, and Social Matters for supporting the popular special evening Late Night Thursday.
“Strengthening the diverse cultural landscape in North Rhine-Westphalia is important to the Sparda-Bank West’s foundation. The Museum Ludwig’s ‘Late Night Thursday,’ which we sponsor, is for us a perfect example of how offering exciting events during extended business hours and at a reduced admission price can successfully bring people closer to art and culture. A visit is always worthwhile.”
Ursula Wißborn, Chair of the Foundation for Art, Culture, and Social Matters, Sparda-Bank West
In February 2015 we opened up our ART LAB in the Museum Ludwig. It is a room addressed especially to families and children, and in which you can experiment, relax, and play together. Running under the headline "Express yourself!", it is connected to the permanent collection, especially to the Expressionist art, and invites everyone to conduct their own experiments. Allow yourself to become inspired by the works you see in the exhibition next door!
We were able to realize the ART LAB thanks to the great support of GAG Immobilien AG. The cooperation which is termed for 3 years allows us to restructure the room once a year, each time dedicated to a different focus of the museum's collection, which includes all major positions of the arts of the 20th and 21st centuries.
Many wonderful ideas are waiting to be realized! If you’re interested in supporting a particular project at the Museum Ludwig, please contact Lisa Schade (née Nadig) by e-mail: lisa.schademuseum-ludwig.de or by telephone: 0221 221 24581.
