The Newsletter of the Museum Ludwig is governed by the privacy policy of the City of Cologne.

Legal Advice / Disclaimer

The City of Cologne has always made the correctness, completeness and topicality of the information on this its internet presence a prime concern. Be that as it may, inaccuracies and misunderstandings cannot be ruled out. The City of Cologne is not liable for any damage or injury that may arise from the use of the data and information provided here or from the use of erroneous and / or incomplete information or data insofar as no premeditated or grossly negligent behaviour can be established on its part. This disclaimer does not cover damage(s)/claims arising from injury to life, body or health.

Insofar as the Internet presence of the City of Cologne grants access, as for instance through links, to outside sources and material provided by other bidders, we hereby state that the City of Cologne neither has any influence on the content of such sites nor actively subscribes to such contents. At the time of writing the City of Cologne has no knowledge of any unlawful or offensive matter on any of the linked sites run by outside parties. Should linked sites from outside parties nevertheless contain unlawful or offensive matter, the City of Cologne expressly dissociates itself from them.

Online Dispute Resolution

The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/ that consumers can use to settle a dispute and to find further information on dispute resolution.

Alternative Dispute Resolution

We are neither obligated nor willing to participate in a dispute settlement procedure before a Consumer Arbitration Service in the event of a dispute with a consumer.

Photography and Filming at Events

Please note that we hire individuals and service providers to take photos and videos during our events. These images and recordings are intended to document both the events themselves and the participation of individual people. For photos and videos that focus on individuals, the individuals shown have the right and the ability to notify the photographer or videographer if they do not wish to be photographed or filmed. If this is not possible, or if your request is not followed, please contact the Press and Public Relations department in writing. Our staff will then ensure that the respective images and videos are deleted. Contact: Donata aus der Wieschen (donata.ausderwieschenmuseum-ludwig.de).

We assume that all participants in our events consent to the creation and dissemination of photographs and videos for communications and publication purposes by the Museum Ludwig. This includes conventional public relations materials (flyers, brochures, posters, etc.), online communications (including social media), press relations (print and online), and publications for or by the Museum Ludwig. This consent includes the consent to make the photos and videos available for download on our websites. The consent applies in particular when the individuals involved willingly make themselves available for photography and filming, for instance by posing or looking into the camera.

By purchasing a ticket or visiting in response to an invitation, the participant consents to the recording of images and audio as well as the use and publication of such images and recordings for the purpose of public reporting on the event or the promotion of the Museum Ludwig’s services on our websites, including social media. If tickets are ordered for third parties, the buyer is required to inform the participants of these regulations.

Where not otherwise indicated, the rights for the illustrations are in the keeping of the artists concerned or their legal successors.

Unfortunately it has not always been possible to establish who is the owner of the rights.

Please be aware that we are not able to accept unsolicited submissions and we are not able to return them back to the sender.
